Great pic of the porpoise looking up!!! Very Nice effort Drew and Crew.. Seems there is alot of open water and life and I keep getting rpts of others seeing fish but not for you or I. WTF? Latest rpt was of some divers coming hm from San Nic and seeing spots of marlin. Humm.

Definitely spots of Marlin out there. I can tell you that because I saw them. The Osborne was crawling with them 2 weeks ago, and a bunch of fish were caught in that area during the Church Mouse tourny. However, the closest Dodo to CIH that I have seen was off the West End of Catalina. They certainly may move up and the conditions and temps certainly make it possible. I've spent a bit of time travelling between SBI/West End Cat and CIH in the past 2 weeks, and I have not seen 1 Dodo in that area. Now if all that bait in that zone gets eaten up, then maybe it will go.

That's interesting. When we can back from Nic last Friday, we went through some really fishy water. Saw some birds working around and the water was really warm and blue. I was checking out the sst this morning and there is a nice break that extends up to below the 311. Hmm? I wonder if those same marlin that were on the Osborn have moved up. The water at the Osborn has come down big time in the last week.

Drew,

Seems to me you did everything right.

Good plan & great effort, but sometimes it
takes some of that elusive "luck" thrown in,
hope your next trip includes some.

Laughter from your buddies is fine if they are laughing with you, (not always the case with me).

Thanks for the post, info is much appreciated!
