Decided to make the run for some B.F.T .Hooked up with chris(defiance) and figured Tanner was the place to look.Last chance to get bait was 9 pm from hooks ,so 8pm friday nite we take on 220 pds of ice,135 gal. fuel (ouch)

1 1/2 scoops of some fine dines, and set a course of 164 with some high hopes of catching ,not wishing.Just crused bout 10-12 kts. ,At grey we thru in the jigs(about 5miles short of the high spot) No love trolling so we anchor up with 4 sporties @ the Freedom sitting there.Watched the boat next to us hook a marlin, but only Big Macs and some bottom critters.

So about 11ish we decide to troll towards nic,No love again,But about 5 miles off nic we spot a swordfish sunning so chris puts a big live mack on the Van StaaL and pitches it out ,But the fish spooked and went down.So we reach nic about 3ish and see lots of birds sitting/looking around in dutch so we set up drifting for some flatties, current starts smoking and the 4-5pd. bonies move in,And then BAM ! THIS ONE FELLS LIKE THE RIGHT KIND!

But wait, its not fighting like a flattie, chris gets the gaff out and sticks it in the head of a nice WSB,Then ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE!!

W.F.O ,doubles, triples, break-offs all on the IRON!!!! Chris did a great job of gaffing,Running around the boat with fish flying everywhere! We put down 12 fish to 40 pds, and released about 50 bonies, Left a wfo bite and thru the hook in 30' to call it a day.Watched the fish boiling untill dark.Up at grey and look for some yellows, But only get 10# goats on the iron, And a 100+ BSB all released, boogied back early was in by 11 am.PRETTY SWEET TRIP.
