Bro tell me about it... I got a lil 6ft jig stick from RMEDINA... I got 2 bones on it... Sure was a fun fight... I lost both of them right at the surface.... Tryin to bounce them... But none the less still fun.... Then Capt Tuck... Told me to use my BIG jig stick that Pina made me... Then next thing I knew I had 2 bones on the deck... EAR TO EAR WITH A SMILE.....

What colors do you prefer for bones.....

Always a good time on the Aloha....The birds can be rather frustrating and quite discouraging at times...If you can get a bait that swims you are usually good...Try a$$ hookin' them...they tend to swim down almost the instant they hit the water!

This is by far the toughest question to answer. Almost everybody has a different take. So I'll offer my suggestion based on what has worked for me. I deal with color selection all the time when I fish LMB...( that's a another story )...

I like anything in a Sardine or Anchovie pattern....I like the "Green Sardine" , "Silver Sardine", "Bay Smelt", and "Pacific 'Chovy" colors by Big Hammer...

I also like the "Halloween" by FishTrap/Big Hammer for an all around color.

Although I do admit that they were on the "Bleeding Sardine" by MC like flies on shat the other day....I just try to "match the hatch" most of the time. But don't be afraid to be bold...try different colors. Find out what works for you on that particular day based on the conditions. I've caught fish on the "rainbow trout" color before as well..."When in doubt, throw the trout"...LoL

Hope this helps dude...

I tried azz/collar/nose/all-of-the-above hooking style and the birds still got em...LoL I think there were over 30 birds any given time. They still got your bait if you added lead. My buddy put a 2 ounce sinker on and they still got the bait! You're fishing such shallow water, it's useless. Relentless I tell ya!
