Ensenada-Lower 500 Saturday 9-20
Weather was up but we did manage 6-7 firecracker yellows in 6-8 ft confused seas. Had a wave break into the boat and one of my crew fell off the tower, He's OK and was back in the boat within seconds of hitting the water. On the way in about 10 miles from Punta Banda we ran into diving birds. Thought it may be the tuna but it turned out to be wide open bonito in the 8-10 lb range. Mike had plenty of nice mixed sardine and mackerel. It looks like the bite was at the 238 as a few boats ran into some dorado and yellows. I will be heading back down on Tuesday night fishing Wednesday. Weather looks good.
