THE ERNA B TOOK US UP DOWN SOUTH TO FISH THE KELP BEDS IT WAS A SLOW PICK ON THE BASS ALL DAY, THEY WERE BITING ON DINES AND CHOVYS AND HAMMERS, ME AND LARRY78 RELEASED ABOUT 12 CALICOS ALL CAUGHT ON HAMMERS ( WHAT A BLAST) INCLUDING THE BIG BASS I CAUGHT.
WAY COOL PEOPLE ON BOARD, NICE WEATHER TOO. A-BITE IT GREAT TO HAVE YOU ON BOARD DUDE! IT WAS A LITTLE SLOW BUT STILL LOTS OF FUN. YOU SAW THE DARKKINGS AT THEIR FINEST..LOL..YOU THINK YOU CAN HANG WITH THESE GUYS...HEHE
THEY FILLED 2 TRASH CANS WITH THEIR EMPTYS...LOL

First off let me say sorry to Creekster. I meant to get the report up last night but by the time I got home I was so tired I could barely stand up. Then I come on todo it today and it's already there.


This trip was nothing short of a full on blast. That big flattie came on our first stop about 10 minutes after lines were in the water. The jackpot was a done deal before 7:30 am. A few little side notes. That young lady with the flattie got that on her first boat trip ever! Great Job.


Creekster was slaying stuff with those big hammers all day long it seemed.


Dave, thanks for all your help and advice on how to catch those calicos. You were right on the money. First comes the tap, then the strike. Happened that way every time. I also would like to thank you for having me on and for putting together such a great trip.


Folks, you haven't been fishing until you've been Dark Kings fishing!! A steady flow of cerveza, good friends, beer, great conversation, beer,and a lot fun catching some fish. Oh, did I mention we drank some beer too??[img]smileys/[/img]


My personal take on the day was 4 calicos (1 short) and 1 lingcod (also short). The shorties were thrown back and the others are now chilling in my freezer awaiting a date with the grill.


Again, to Dave and the rest of the Dark Kings, thanks for a great trip. Can't wait to do it again sometime!
