avila pier fishing

decided to not go to work today, instead go fishing.Went out to avila pier,It was nice in the morning, but the wind picked up around 11 am ""like it always does up here"".Only managed to pick off a couple of small croaker. But like they say <<A bad day fishing is better than a good day at work>>

Thanks for the report. We'll be up there this weekend. We were thinking of kayak fishing, but the forecast is for rain!

Ya it is windy up near avila alot.I just moved up here from santa barbara, born and raised.I am still trying to get fimiliar with the fishing up here, I have never really been into the whole rocking thing, but its ok im moving down to san diego in about a year and a half. ""Hey yaksailor. To the left of the avila fishing pier, there is a bunch of klep with some nice rock structure on the bottom.I hit it up on my kayak a couple months back and got a few decent size rockfish, and i have been told from a few different people that it can be really productive sometimes, so you might wanna try it.

Thanks for the tip, Saba, but I was actually thinking about Lake Lopez this time. We'll probably pass anyway, due to the weather.
