Ventura Pier Feb 1, 2008

Well not to much to say about fishing right now at the Ventura Pier. I was there from 5:00pm to 7:30pm with only one fish to show for. Size was medium and the wind was very bad. Almost at the start was getting seaweed with every reeling in. It cool tho with just being out the. As for my new toy that is the Ugly stick 9' rod in the spinning version cant wait to really see it bent over. Lastly, bait and set up was fresh shrimps and on a high and low rig with #6 hooks with 15 lb test line. That it for right now. Happy fishing from the FishingBeast.

Thanks for the report for the pier. I'm sure you will be slaying them once the new season gets going again...

Good to see you back plus fishing and posting reports here.

Things seem to be slow all over California at the piers right now.Or so I am told anyway.

It has to turn around sooner or later.
