Carni's right on the water issue. No need for it, unless it's heavily airated they'll quickly suffocate. They can live up to a week out of the water, just need a damp cool place to store them....and a daily mouthwash! No joke, in order for them to breath air(whatever it is that they have that makes them able to breath air needs to be moist, once it gets dry they suffocate.)

if you have a bait tank on the boat, u can always turn it on and throw them in there too until you get to the launch ramp
