News Dodo n' Mako fishing 7/29 and 8/1

Went paddy hopping this weekend 7/29 with Mitch and Dave out of Mission Bay. We had a tough time finding paddies near the 390 bank. Only found one paddy that was holding some Dodo’s. Pulled two off that paddy.

That's me up above with my colorful Dorado.

Here’s Mitch with his Dodo.

Went out fishing yesterday 8/1 out of Marina Del Rey with my buddy Brad, aboard his new 28ft Baha Cruiser. What a sweet and nicely tricked out fishing machine. Did a little shark fishing.

Here is Brad waiting for Mr. or Mrs. Mako to show up.

Here I am hooked up with the biggest of two Mako’s that we caught. We were watching the movie “Jaws” on Brad’s DVD player when this fish took the bait.

After a 25 minute scrappy and aerial fight, we got this estimated 150lb Mako next to the boat for a quick release.

It sure was fun pulling on a big fish. Thanks again Brad for a fun trip, and I can’t wait to take a run out to San Nicholas Island aboard your awesome new fishing machine.
