why they call it fishing, not catching..

Today I hit 5th st. to the power plant then back down shores and across to silver strand for...nothing...not even a bite I tried gulp blood worms and sand crabs. 8 hours of walking and casting into perfect holes for nada. The funny part is that 2 days ago I was killing the perch on the gulp blood worms. So tomorrow I will try camo worms, sand crabs and mussels. Ohh, and does anyone know where to get motor oil red flake grubs? west marine never caries them and boaters world is out(Oxnard). Any Suggestions?

I'm almost positive Eric's Tackle has them in Ventura, F.I.S.H probably has them at Ventura Harbor. Maybe the landings too, Cisco and Cpt Hooks.
