Goleta beach

Made my way to Goleta for my friend's birthday party at Goleta beach, and of course, I brought a pole with me. After a few beers, I got the itch to go fishing. I took a walk to the right side of the Goleta beach around the big rock. I was using my ultra light spinning set up with a Carolina rigged, 4 inch berkeley gulp sandworm in hopes of getting some good perch. I caught six good sized perch, but sorry no pics of the perch because I didn't have my camera on me. My girlfriend showed up about an hour later to the party, and I had her come back with me because she had a camera. All I managed to pick up while she was there was this little flounder. It was a very nice day as you can see in this pics with calm water and no wind. The water is warming up and fishing is getting good. It seems like summer is already here!

Such a great beach. I'm gonna have to launch there again sometime and fish the kelp pipe. Great pics.

Hint...hint...nudge...nudge!

I think he meant a flounder sized halibut!

You can imagine my disbelief when I pulled up this mutant halibut impersonator awhile back.

These are shots of the beach in IV from 2 weeks ago during the annual Floatopia.

There might be some "flounders" out there.

COLLEGE!!!!
