PERCH SURPRISE @ CHEVRON
HEY GANG! I HIT THE SURF TODAY LIKE PLANNED,started at 10:00am at pch and sunset for one hour all i got was salad,so i moved to patricks and after 5min booya perch is on ,hit abut 5 or 6, moved 100yrds north towards the pier and POW! A MAMA PRCH she was packing about 15, took them fast back in the water before the gulls got them,and then i released the mama,she was maybe 3-4lbs nice fight too, but no match for my little loomis 6-12spinning with shimano symetre 1500 spooled with 6lb test maxima and 4lb test flouro,
anyway epic day until the wind came at 1:00pm so i bounced,personnal take 12perch the rest smaller then the mama one, water temp about55-58 deg,did see some corbina but no luck getting them,very close to shore one hit me on the leg i think but hey nice day had the beach to myself SEE YA hitting MDR tomorrow!
