Tried my luck out on the surf this evening and had some luck. Started off throwing jerkbaits in the hopes of some butt action but no biters. Tied on 3" big hammer and pulled out a couple of phat preggo perch. Four cast later and the rubber gets nailed. At first the fish lulled in the surf and gave a couple of head shakes. I was thinking it was a small hali and eased some more pressure on the fish. This is when it got good. Drag starts ripping and I see a big tail splash on the surface. 15 minutes later I beach a 34" WSB. My fingers paid the price as I lipped the fish further onto the beach. Did'nt weigh the fish but I'd guess 12-15lbs.
