Lousy Cold Weather, Hot Fish

Looked out my window saw no wind. Jumped up and grabbed my gear headed down to the beach. The beach was windyyyy and cold once again. But, I got to do a myth busters on the fish. The myth that a fish on the first cast is bad luck. Busted it good first cast WSP, second cast WSP, fourth cast YFC, fifth cast YFC.

In an hour and a half caught:

8 - BSP
4 - WSP
5 - YFC

Only caught one big fish. Apologize for the bad pic I was in a hurry.

As an aside I have been trying out a different color every trip. I was getting stuck on red because it has been catching fish quite a few fish for me. So I looked at all the colors I have and decided to test them out. Tonight's color was MORF. I have caught fish recently on red, green w/gold glitter, chartruese w/multi-glitter, plum glitter, and motor oil w/gold glitter. The only colors that haven't caught fish was pearl and purple w/orange tail. So how much does color matter?

Hollywood. Seems I catch bigger fish there. I get fish at other beaches just not as big.

They're putting in a restroom? I don't think so, although it would be nice. I try to not go on weekends, but went on a Sunday and there were people watering the sand. So it would be great. I have a couple of areas I fish at Hollywood some are only fishable when the wind and current allow. This week both have been bad, so kinda had to adapt. I'm going to try and drag my butt out of bed early tomorrow for the morning high tide before the wind and weekenders show up.

it's not a new location restroom. It's a rebuilt restroom at the same location.
