Plan B

Original plan was to go down to Cherry Beach and fish the Snake Coils with my rod wrapper/friend.

Great riptides, but also a ton of grass. Also, friend couldn't make it after all.

So I took off down the beach. If you're curious, I used to have a ruler, but got bored of it, so I marbled it and used my ALPS printer for the decal

Just part of the benefits of marbling and growing up reading LowRider Magazine. This YFC pulled drag and was a lot of fun.

This is my favorite surf rod. It's a SHIKARII, split grip, blue guides and matched for a Daiwa Sol 2000.

I use SUFFIX 10# Performance Braid and 5#FC Sniper as the fluoro leader.

When pumping bait I got ahold of a giant worm. MOFO bled out like he was killed in a kung fu movie.

But, man did he work. I thought I sliced an artery when hooking him.

Overall, not a bad back up plan and pulled in a bunch of spotfins. Hopefully Tuesday and dropshotting will produce some halis.

Fishing in the morning I actually pulled in a condom, I thought pix would be too unneeded.

Thats funny!

Anyway, thanks for the report. I'm curious, how do you go about pumping bait? And what kind of worms are those that you were using? They look like blood worms.
