WFO Halibut!

Met up with Fishhead and Blacklion this morning for some flatty fishing in the Santa Barbara area. Started off throwing the hammers and kept getting them stuck due to the heavy amount of salad and structure. Switched over to the drop shot setup which worked out much better.

We finally found a spot of fish that wanted to bite and it was pretty much WFO.

We landed 4 legals, around 10 shorts and lost at least another 10.

Best flatty fishing I've ever experienced from the surf by far.

Headed back up there right now for round 2

Joey, when you switch over to the drop shot rig, do you still use the swimbaits, or do you go to a stickbait?
