Met a surf perch dude in Ventura 7-6
Went to Ventura with my family to try for WSB on the Mirage. That trip was canceled. But I got the chance to meet up with Randy and Dan at Ventura Harbor and had a couple beers. They had some kimchi (I think thats how you spell it) and I gave it a try for the first time. WOW, good stuff!! Awsome hanging out and thanks for the beer!!

We ended the day playing video games Sunday we went exploring the beaches. We ended up hanging out at a spot that couple fisherman were giving it a go. I was watching one guy not having much luck... then he moved 30 or so feet and it was on. Every other cast he had a fish on. So what the heck... I took some pictures.

He tossed one up to my son.



He tossed it back in the water and started digging...

Another toss.





He told us the fish were eating little crabs and pointed one out. My wife and kids started digging them up.



See them? Little buggers try crawling through your hand. Wife and kids loved it.



He handed another off.



Real cool guy. We did some more exploring and eating then came back home. Great times! Maybe WSB next time!!

weather messed up a lot of trips....but you still came down to the area and had a good time...

fisherman still use waders in the surf??
