Goleta 7-19

Fished north of Goleta this morning from 10 till 12 on the peaking high tide. Overcast sky's with light south wind then glassy then a light west wind. It was a salad fest again today with no chance for km's swimmies etc. I had planned to try fishin weedless dropshot, but the hippy lettuce took me down and I forgot my hooks These two kayak guys had a good day I could here them hooting all morning and watched them go bendo twice just walking down the trail.

Had one of my best days numbers and size wise in a long time. I went 5 fish for my first 7 casts and stopped counting around 15 not even an hour in. All fish were in the 8 to 12" relm except a few walleye that came out to play. The cork on my fenwick is 8.25 for ref. Sandcrabs galore and I also saw the most and biggest blood worms i've ever seen. Fished the crig 1/2 oz bullet with hssc's and crack. Talked to three separate guys soaking macks or squid on the long pole and two were in skunk mode and one said he got a nice caby, but not big enough for the bbq. Super fun morning
