Comments: Went up to Butterfly Beach hoping to stir up a halibut or two but they just were not cooperating today. The conditions were actually very, very mild, but the water was pretty dirty and off-color. I mainly used some darker patterns thinking they were probably the right choice for these conditions, but nothing seemed to be working so I decided to just go against what I would typically do and used a 3” clear red andimmediately got hit by a nice perch. I caught a couple more perch before I had to finally call it a day. All In all a pretty slow day, but had a great time at one of my favorite places.
