La Conchita

I have been doing some surf fishing. Friday morning I went to La Conchita for a couple of hours. Fishing was kind of slow. i get three or four small perch and 1 nice size one.
It was kind of interesting. I saw one of the commercial boats fishing about a 1/4 mile north of arco Island. They must have been doing ok because they stayed there for a couple of hours.
Today I went out for a few hours after work. I hit La Conchita again. I fished for about four hours for one small perch. I was fishing the Berkly camo worms and curly tailed grubs. Not sure what I am doing wrong but I could not get them to bite.
Both days there was a lot of junk in the water and a pretty good current.

Some day I will figure out the reason they bite some days and other days they don't. Then again some day I will set foot on the moon and that will be easier then figuring out the darn fish.

Perch move around quite a bit, sometimes you have to move up and down the beach til you find them....try and use light line and vary your reteive speed....just a couple tips trying to help you out....
