Dunking my yak in CIH sunday

So its time to move my yak from my patio to CIH/Vintage Marina. Is anyone going to be down there Sunday morning? This is my inaugural trip and I'll have a hand-held VHF with me. I might bring a fishing pole, too.

Made it onto the yak, paddled upstream and found Franks boat, back to my boat and hauled my ass onto the swim step without dunking myself. Had a beer and went back out again.

Next saturday is grand opening of the new marina with lunch to be provided by Whales Tail. I got my invite so I'm goin! It might be open to the public, too, seeing how those of us who got notices already have a slip. (duh)

There is also an on the water boat show next weekend. I have $2 off coupons if you want to meet up. Cant buy a boat but they always have new ideas for old boats. and the salesgirls are always excellent distractions!

I'll probably paddle around CIH in the morning and/or evening. maybe drift by the jettys and hit the breakwater with swimbaits. If you are going to be in the area, give a holler. Now that the weather is getting more summery, a few more GetBenters might want to join in????? I have a fridge full of cold beer and sodas at the boat and there is an empty slip next to me that will hold a few kayaks.

CG says that you have to have ONE. Its usually used to raise the lifejacket as a distress flag.

It's just Carn's way of getting out of having to paddle around with you guys!
