Kayak fish nation.....aka....plastic navy(name change so it can get more hits on google) have tournaments throughout the year. This one in particular is at Shelter island. Very far from here, and it is about $60 to enter. For me it is too much money for gas and registration to participate in a tourney where the fishing grounds are relative new to me.
