the plastic navy is throwing the LAST tourney of their tournament trail. and rumor has it, this is the last big tourney they are going to throw also. the Kayak Fishing Classic part IV

sooooooo....

im inviting all the kayak fishermen (and ladies) from this site to come down to san diego and show us what youve got. KFC I ended with me victorious, winning a brand new OK Prowler 15 with seat, paddle, and rod holders. KFC II ended with Tom Buckalew taking home a new hobie outback (i did dismally). KFC III ended with Ed Howerton taking home $1001 (i was top 20 i think).

KFC IV is bringing $1001 cash to the first place winner. 2nd through 10th place winners will also have prizes awarded.

details, directions, boundaries, and rules can be found here:

http://www.plasticnavy.com/signup/index.html

and you can also pay by paypal from that same link. $35 to enter (and there will probably be a side jackpot for single biggest fish), fishing only for the three true bass (spotties, sandies, calicos), with a minimum weighable length of 14".

this is a catch and release tournament. we are not looking for a fish kill here. there will be at least three weigh boats patrolling the area within the boundaries. you must have a way to keep your fish alive. a dead fish WILL NOT BE WEIGHED. so i STRONGLY advise against stringers.

party and barbecue after the tourney with raffle prizes. trust me on this one. $35 is nothing compared to the fun you will have competing against some of the best anglers i know of in san diego. free food and comaraderie is already there, but if you win some swag in the raffle you pretty much get your money back! and just to give you an idea of how good the raffle can get, i put in an extra $5 (5 tickets)for the raffle at KFC III, and came home with a brand new calcutta 400S. BOOYAH!!!!

Pescador, congrats on the Prowler. I would definitely enter a chance to win a Hobie Outback...this is the ultimate yak for me. I tried one out and it was awsome.

The 12th is a 3-day weekend...not sure if I'll be in SD. Was just there last week.
