Big hammer Tourney

Big hammer is having one of their tourneys again. I haven't done it, but have heard good things about it....Too bad my shoulder is still bummed out or I would be up there

I am not affiliated with the tourney, just a big hammer whore.

Sounds like fun. We may do this, but I think if we go to SB or Leo we'll catch more fish. I didn't see much structure the last time I was at Haskell's. The closest structure was way South by the old pier pilings or way North at the point. Also, due to the new condos at Haskell's, the trek from the parking lot to the beach is FAR. Used to be that you could park on the beach.

Haskell's has been worth the trek!

Hey guys, I figured I would bust in and light a fire under your hind sides to fish the tourney. Just to let you know the bite at Haskell's has been phenomenal this year. A buddy of mine has been fishing out there every week and nailing the Calico’s from his float tube. You can check out his last report on www.calfishing.com in their saltwater message board. On that trip he stuck an 8lb Calico and a 28 inch Flatty. Here’s the link

http://www.calfishing.com/dc/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=4&topic_id=14041&m esg_id=14041&page=

For the most part he has been sticking fish up to 5 lbs every trip so needless to say the bite has been good! I know it’s a long drive for a lot of you guys but Haskell’s has the habit of kicking out some good fish every year, last year there was a 7lber caught during the first tourney and a 5+ the next tourney. And if big fish like that don’t get your heart pumping we will also be giving out goodie bags of Hammers to all of the competitors and for each fish you release we will give you one free Big Hammer. Oh yeah, and if you happen to catch some big fish you will be taking home a chunk of cash too! I hope this is enough to get you guys out there, I would love to see everyone that posts on this board show up! For more info on the event you can check out my other post about the tourney and check out www.swimbait.com/tournament

Tight Lines and I hope to see ya on the 15th!
