That last pic was indeed the best, but the pedal system is the way to go if you have a rod in hand, especially if there is a calico on the other end that wants to go into the rocks. What is the price on the revolution, and what are the specs. (weight and capacity)?

I tell everybody the same thing, practice rolling your kayak over under controled conditions, not in 5 foot swells and 200 yards out with all your equipment like I did . Good luck with your new yak........

The Revolution is selling for 1599 for the basic package. That includes seat. hatches, paddle, drive, bungee rigging, handles, eyelets and rudder.

The Quest is the paddle version. Retails for 969.

I bought my mango Explorer kayak a year ago with the expressed intention of upgrading. After a year of saving and selling junk on eBay, I am now close to getting me a real yak. All that is holding me back now is whether or not I will truly be happy with this purchase. I'm going to need a dozen or so beers to think this thru. Lemeknow who wants to think it over with me

Good luck Bing. You have some serious pondering to do, so don't forget the limes.

Went ahead and bought a Revolution. On the coldest day of the year in Socal

Caught a butt while the store was preping my plastic tub.

Got there and the crate was open and the dealer was QCing the yak. Gotta say, that dealer (Dana Point Jet Ski) was top notch.

And took her home.

Will now try to build a multi yak stand in my backyard with the help of odogfish just like those on the pic. Thinking of renting out yak storage for peops in Santa Monica and Venice area and give my 13 year old an income for his gaming habit Free portage?

New yak

That was a nice thread to follow on a cold Sunday morning, from shopping, test spins, to purchase. Was that chick really in the water dressed like that or was that a old summer picture.

Congrats on your new ride. Give us your thoughts on your 1st "real" test ride.

Now you have something in common with the oldest profession...you both pedal your *ss.
