What I am making myself this Xmas :)

Winhugger's Kayak Stand

This is an inexpensive kayak stand made using PVC pipe. PVC is widely used for kayak and float tube accessories.
  • Parts List:
  • 1 1/2 PVC elbows (8)
  • 1 1/2 - 2" webbing (2YDS)
  • webbing buckles (4) not shown 4 1/2" galvanized bolts & nuts
I cut the legs 40" long, it is a nice working height. Also by offsetting the legs the stand can fold up. I did not glue mine so it can be dissembled to carry in motorhome. In hindsight the web buckles would make it adjustable.

That is a nice, inexpensive stand. Especially if you don't want to pony up the $80-#150 that they charge for the aluminum ones.
