Prowler Big Game

So I am going to bite the bullet and get a kayak again. ITs been a while and I hope that I will have soon the free time to actually use it. Not alot of experience in this area of fishing so I figured I would ask you guys.

I mainly decided on the Prowler 13 Big Game. The only other choice I can think of is the Cobra Fish N Dive XF. The XF is 4 inches wider. which i assume if I try to stand a bit it will be more stable, but I think I like the lay out on the prowler more. Any recs from you guys with experience.

I will be mainly fishing here in Florida on the flats for trout, flounder, redfish or snook. Maybe in the summer when the water is more calm I will go off the beach for Kings. Not sure about that part.

If you want a big stable kayak, the big game is foshizel! Tackle tray, hatches, rod holders and its even got a recessed opening in the hull for an ff transducer.

Heavy though. Take that into consideration.

I want one too but just sitting here on my bed with my legs out in front of me in 10 minutes I can't feel my feet. Can't imagine a 6 hour trip that way. I know you guys move from one side to the other and let feet hang over etc but man I am just not kayak built.

I've only had a Malibu Extreme I didn't have problems standing on that and I weigh 240lbs.

i tested the big-game when i was looking around for a new yak. i agree with dan, they sure as hell arent very fast. but i felt that they make up for it with stability to spare, load capacity, and if you buy the big-game package from bass pro, they also came with a really comfortable seat. i cant afford one, but if i had the money, i would own one right now. i have a dinky little nine footer. i tryed standing on it, and i went in the drink, needless to say...

Just remember what you need it for, fishing or speed. Convenience while fishing is key. And kayaks are for sitting---not standing. Look for comfort since stability is rarely a problem, it most has to do with time in the yak.
