I have the 175? I think. Much older Piranha but still works well and been out in the weather and sun for about 2 years now (mounted in my boat) and still works great.

Tom. If you purchase at West Marine, make sure you get the warranty they offer (~$20 or so). If your unit goes out for any reason, they'll fix or replace it, no questions asked. I stick with Lowrance sonar's....i forget the model number I have, but it's a mid range one, good for bait and structure, also, Scotty makes a great mount for it.

I had a Pirhana Max and it worked well while it lasted, than one day it just freaked out and wouldn't fire up....

I got the eagle fisheasy 250 ds about 3 yrs ago. I have had it on and off many times and has always worked well for me. Good electronics without breaking the bank.
