Catapalooza 08 (pics added)

Got together with a buch of guys from various so cal boards and a couple guys out all the way from Utah for a fri-sun Catalina yak trip. Left out of MDR on the Catalina flyer.

departed at the ithmus had the rangers truck our yaks to cat Harbor and out gear to Little Harbor.

Paddled out of Cat Harbor to little Harbor fishing along the way.

fishing was slow the whole trip and the weather wasn't the greatest but we all had a great time and everything went very smoothly. Special thanks to Andy at OEX 'Sunset' for putting this together and handling all of the logistics.

Big fish of the trip ended up coming out of Cat Harbor right in front of our launch site at the very end of the trip caught by yours truely

It was a total blast and ended up running about $250 per person for everything food beer camping firewood and all transports.

Hey Don. Thanks for the fantastic report. I have a place in my heart for both Cat and Little Harbor. That pic near the end of your report is an image I will always remember. Looks like some someplace in the South Pacific, yet is only 30 miles from the city! Looks like you took that pic from the road going up to the Airport.
