who's gonna take me yakkin?

If everything goes as planned, I'll have a yak fairly soon. Aside from the occasional stroll around the harbor, I've never fished from a yak. So anyone want to volunteer to show me the ropes?

Stick to the harbor until you feel confident to head out in the open waters. Your number one enemy is the wind. If you see white caps, head for home and never paddle out if you see white caps. Take your time learning. Do plenty of sessions in the harbor and when you are ready for surf launching, go to Arco Island. It has minimal surf to learn.

When you get sorted out and you're down south, let me know and I'll show you where the yellows roam.

Thanks guys, but I think I like Carni's idea. It's be sweet to cruise the yak at 25mph to the gap, LOL.

As soon as I get everything all together, I'll be hitting you all up.
