This is an informative post for kayakers to read. Coincidentially, I ordered helmets for my son and I last week.

I never considered a helmet!! I have a cheapo life vest that I got withmyHobie. I have wanted to get that MTI pro-fishermenlife vest, but I guess I better add a helmet to that list. When we used to rent kayaks on Carpinteria Beach from the City of Carpinteria, they required us to wear helmets during launch and landing. I'll bet their insurance company insisted on it.
