Under wetsuit layer you can go with the standard lycra pre-suit. For full suit it helps alot. For your spring suit or farmer johns free balling is ok, or a speedo, you be the judge. TL Rhyno

I saw a yak with a built in bait tank, just about the size of a KEG. put som pontoons on that bad boy and you have all the stability you can use. and if fishin is slow, rig the area between the pontoons and the yak with a dance floor and you can blast your cd player do a little dance get a little buzz and get down tonight...huh? huh? huh? Oh and just to add my two cents worth on the birthday siut or the thong....Dave, PINK is not your color. It would probabaly just blend in with the color of your culo, so I would go with the BLACK leather one with the dk logo on the front. Wear it proud my friend...I just hope you dont high stick on the dance floor. MUAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA!!!

Flipper and Dave - You guys are going to get some serious fish this year on those machines....
Dave - A little item ive been considering lately is weight factor when paddling....especially at launch.....I launched my yak in the harbor 1st 2 times to get used to it on the water.....then #4,5,& 6 & 7 & 8 were in the surf......
Each Time I added more gear - SWEET!........but become less in control of the kayak...
Flipped her over twice now.......No Worries......Its all part of it.....
FLipped once in small surf - but then launched in a bigger day, took a wave in the face and kept paddling thru it.....
Donated once to mother ocean......SERIOUS LEASHES ARE NEEDED AND DOUBLE CHECK THEM.....I was in a hurry and lost a rod last trip....
Cant wait for you guys to catch some local squid and a 30-50 lb seabass or halibut to top the day off!

Hopefully I can get out by next week and try it in the harbor a few times before seeking trouble with the surfmaster.

Let me know when you hit the harbor...I'm usually out there at least a
few times a week paddling around and can get out on VERY short
notice(I'm 5 minutes away.) I'll even be nice and paddle a Fish and
Dive as well and can help you with any questions on the water. It's
always best to "buddy up" especially when new to paddling.
