I've had Halibuts take a bite at me so you do have to subdo them with the dingbat...I avoid stringers for the fact you're giving seals and the man in the grey suit something to go for...if you don't have an insulated bag big enough for the fish I have wrapped them with a wet towel and placed them in hull of yak...sharks and rays I try to cut line and release safely without having to go swimming with them...be safe I know for a fact...kayaking I broke two ribs doing it!
