would a small bait tank set up work with just the aerator and not have to have the bilge pump at all?? im not cheap, just poor. if i can build a bait tank with just a bucket and an aerator i would be very happy

I wouldn't go just aerator because when the water heats up you are in for dead bait. I would go with a 9 dollar bilge pump from Walmart and just let the water run out the other side literally for 20 bucks you have have a fresh sea water bait tank that will last all day. 9.95 for the pump and about 8 to 11 bucks for a battery and the rest is free if ya scrounge around for a bucket and hose. Hint garden hose works fine and have it empty out the side into the water.

Poor mans and/or most convenient way would be bait tube or trolling bait bucket.
