There's plenty of the PVC plans around...just need to replace the pvc with pipe. I made a bulletproof one(read TANK) and Potto did as well. PVC carts have a short lifespan when hauling fully rigged yaks.

Ditto what Island Fox said. You can still use the plans for a PVC cart, but use 3/4" copper instead.

Copper is expensive and people would love to steal it because copper is becoming a precious metal. Instead use galvonized, cheap and strong. Mine weight about 25lbs. No one in their right mind would want to carry that around, let alone steal it.

Copper is $5 a foot....mine is aluminum! What I want to know is where do you get the replacement tires with the plastic rims...not the ones they sell at harbor freight that are metal????

Sears believe it or not. I just picked up replacement wheels from my weed whip and they have plastic rimed tires in the service center next to the auto department well the one in thousand oaks. I was blown away when the guy at OSH told me that. Now the ones I got were 12" narrow non pneumatic but they have other ones there too. My were $22.95 so if anyone knows of a cheaper place though speak up.

Copper is under $24 for 10 feet. Way more than you will need. Another $10 for fittings. $5 each for the wheels at Harbor Freight. Let them rust for that price. That cart above is pretty elaborate with a kickstand and removeable parts. Mine is one piece that straps on top or take it back to the car.

Kayak Cart

Hey guys thanks for the heads up on No PVC. I used galvanized pipe and fittings and it worked great. I'll post pics once the metalflake paint dries(habit from building drag boats my whole life lol). Thanks again for the advice.
