We rolled a 2pm Thursday with Capt. Scott, 2nd Vinny,
Rob,Matt,Tad on Deck and Christopf cooking great food.
After loading up with nice dines, we headed out past
Nados to look for bluefin tuna in snotty seas and wind.
We found nada too, and beat up our bait while looking.
Friday 6am we were alone at the hump at Colonett.
Took awhile, but soon found some kick butt biting big
yellows and it was game on in the PM for 53 and some
big lings too. Saturday was a trainwreck, sometimes 5-6
strikes, screaming drags, screaming winders, to die for.
We flat put the wood to em for close to 100. With only
the bait left in the slammer, our decision to stay 2nd
night anchored next to the Excel and SA80 and try the
iron and flatfalls, the whole tackle store Sunday for
jumping bluefin between the 3 boats. A 4th roamed
around and got a few and some yellowfin, but for tuna
it was scratch at best. We ended up with 220 big 15-35lb
yellowtail, some big lings and asst. rockfish for 22 winders.
After seeing the bluefin bite up north be next to nothing,
we elected to smack some fish, and it paid off bigtime.
There were bluefin jumping, crashing around us all day,
but so were a gazillion red crabs they were gorging on. LOL

The usual suspects, Norm and Leanne,Stuart,Dennis,
    MIke,Aren,Noah,Marcus, Gary 1, Gary2 , Josh,Reggie,
Dennis,Leonard,Scott, Tony and the rest WHAT FUN!!!
Soon it was time to head for the shower and a killer
roast beef dinner, and hit the rack back to the barn.
THANKS to Scott and the whole crew, what a trip!!
