Get it! You will love it!!! Luna is an upgrade of Millionaire. Solid aluminum body. High Quality Build. Many said it is better than Calcutta TE!!! Price is right. Ebay go from $180.

Some upgrade that many might do it to change HT-100 drag or Smoothy Cabonex drag. Many power handle to choose from -- Penn 975($19), Shimano Trinidad12($39), or call Diawa America for diawa's part. They have two model one imported from Japan ($129)or their regular power handel in Silver Knob($22). I have been there...so my pick go to Shimano Tekota500 power handle ($29). Match up nicely and feel very firm and comfortable.

Here is my Luna 300 with Tekota500 handle.

Batman first of all not everyone likes daiwa but I am just fooling around. I have said it before my only complaint with them is the ergonomics not the quality so relax. Just because it reels line HALF as good as zebco, doesn't make it all bad hehehe.

I was over at SAV ON TACKLE yesterday afternoon and they had the reels in the case so I checked them out...I'm not too convinced about them and I'd still put my money on the TE400's. "I guess you get what you pay for!"

    Enough Said!

I played with one at a tackle store the other day. THe Reel Seemed smooth when reeling, and the freespool is incredible. Man I bet this reel can cast a mile. The magnetic castrol I think is for Newbies. I would set it at 0-2.

I also see no need to upgrade your drags for this reel. It's a bassin reel, and the Daiwa's Wet Drag system is awesome.Edited by: KaiMan

Luna also is 3-4 oz lighter than Calcutta in the same class, and has one more bearing than Calcutta and is around $100 less than Calcutta. Disagree with "you get what you pay for",its called MARKETING. Read the reports from happy anglers of LR boats bringing 200+Ib Tunas caught on Avets which cost less than Accurate reels. But its all good, Ford, Chevy, Dodge ;)
