If anybody been interested in the progress of the two marine biologists that set sail 3 months ago from Long Beach, Ca. to Hawaii on a raft made of plactic bottles, well they made it. You can follow their story at www.junkraft.blogspot.com . They fished all the way across for their meals, but also had rations aboard.

We got to see this craft sitting in the harbor just before we went on our WSB trip. They do make a solid point about the crap in our oceans, they got the attention they wanted. You have to be a bit crazy to do something like that! I am glad they made it safe.

A man made kelp paddy as far as fish were concerned. Reminds me of the Kon-Tiki story.
