the special is a SWEET 40lb reel.. I dont own one, but have fished them a few times... I really liked it. I also have a few friends that use them... and in fact, they are there go-to reel.

overall... no complaints from customers who have bought them.

    little tip

I really like my baja special, I found that reversing the harness lugs upside down into the reel helped (they get in the way). I had no plans to troll with this reel, just use it to rip lings out of the rocks.

just ripping lings again 'eh? Well, I guess that some lings deserve that. Espesially the big ones !!! They are good to eat after being ripped on too.

I know Baja Fish Gear also has a Baja Special combo for 199.00. Rod is the Penn Professional Guide Series 765XL. Nice set up for the price.

Not Affiliated , just passing along what I saw yesterday.

    I'm affiliated...:beerbang:

and yes it's an excellent deal...I'd also give 300 yards of 50, 65 or 80# spectra for $15 more. Rod alone sells for $149.99 with Fuji components, so your getting a Baja Special and Spectra for $65 plus tax...or just the reel for $50 and tax...

    Great 30, 40 or even 50# set-up

Also for you guys that can't make it to the show I have them up on our website.
