Just got the pic I guess they are stripers. What should I throw at them to have a chance
Nice striper! I heard they hit swimbaits, castmasters, hardbaits, Krocadiles from the surf! I've only seen 1 caught from the surf! And it hit a lucky craft hardbait! I hope that helps! Good luck!!
Dockwiler, redondo, Newport. They are there.
Northern sb county near pismo
I'd recommend using 3" or 4" Big Hammer and ripbaits!!! Any baitfish pattern that you have confidence in will work just fine.
I caught one in the surf down in Ventura County. 36" long and weight a little over 15lbs. Ate a sandcrab on 4lb intended for a corbina. 30 min fight and almost go spooled twice.
They eat the big 1/1.5oz castmasters with a white bucktail the best up here. Good luck!
