Hey look.....A FLYrod !
looks like you don't have all the bugs out of your process. Or is that your new fly rod?
THAT IS THE WORLDS MOST HEAVY DUTY FLY ROD!!! HEHEHE
HAHAH! THATS A GREAT PIC!!!
Great Pic. What type of camera are you using to get such a good clear closeup?
Dude that is the thing that I am most afraid of when I start finishing rods. Just be happy he matches the thread or you would have had to change the wraps
......Tim , it's the oneI got from you !
Batty...I got the little bastard out before the flexcoat cured....heated , and re-leveled the finish. I wonder what would happen if I mixed raid in the finish...!
LMAO great pic Scott.
Hey Scott...You now have TWO exclusive wraps...the Tiger wrap and th eFLY WRAP....WOOOO HOOOOO....its funny too that the damn fly matches the rod colors....errr...if its supposed to be blue...hehe
so what kinda camera is it? details please. thats an awesome shot. my 2MP sony isnt good for taking closeups like that.
The camera is a Nikon coolpix 3100.....3.2 megapixels.....3X zoom....14 scene modes w/macro....and type 1 (mini) flashcard.
The flashcard is formatted for high resolution , and will only store about 10 pics at a time....but could have been formatted to hold more , at a lower res.
The closeup was shot in macro mode/autofocus , flash off, zoomed out(wide) and the lens less than an inch away from the critter.
Ive only got two minor issues with this cam.....it will not "see" any shade of purple...it comes out either blue....or on the other spectrum...red . And this thing eats batteries FAST!!! I get about 8-10 shots....and barely enough time to upload them to the computer.....and blink...it shuts off! With the right CR-V3 battery ( $13.00 !!! )it lasts MUCH longer. I just need to get some ni-cads and a charger and the problem solved !
As for the price...maybe Tim would know....got it from him in a swap.
That is truly and awesome pic Scott! Thanks for sharing. Now as for getting that little sucker out of there...
LOL... dude, we need to do something about that! hahaha, great shot though
I bet he won't have the guts to do that again. hay this is the joke page...says nothing about good ones!!
Well atleast I know that my camera isn't the only one that eats batteries. I got about 9 pics last Saturday of some dolphins playing in the harbor and that was it! It also only holds about 30pics. I hope I find a solution to this before the charter next Sunday:embarassed:
:embarassed:Very cool, I wonder how it casts
If you guys are having problems with your digital cameras eating batteries, I noticed on mine that when I do not use the view screen, that batteries last about 3 times longer. On the other hand, that nullifies one of the great things about having a digital camera. But hey, its an idea.
ya the LCD screen EATS UP batteries big time. The light receptor only draws about2 milliamperes but the LCD can draw as much as 100 milliamperes depending on the size and TFT configuration.
Hey Scott (finadict), how about installing a screen door at the shop?
