Fred, you're killing me. I fished my ss 6470 and just knew I had to add to the arsenal. Hopefully, I can get a used on of the boards or some swap meets. If not there is always the Fred hall show.

That is the truth. PHD 700X2H is rated #40-100. It would be a comparable to the 6470H but half the weight. It is going to cost a few bucks more than the Seeker though.

Even used the Super Seekers are not cheap. I think I am going to just deal with the weight of the rod rather than lighten the weight of my wallet any more. However, the different perspectives give me something to dream about.

I've checked out the Phenix's and they are bad-ass for sure. But so are Super Seekers.A few oz. of weight doesn't mean much to me.Its all a matter of personal preferance.I have a feeling if I built one of those Phenix blanks I might be changing my whole arsenal and that would kill me right now.Especially since I just built a few S.Seekers in the last few months.

    Hey Fred
sell those rods and enter the darkside.
I sold some of my super seekers and replaced them with the phenix.
But still love me my SS for some apps
